Photos: Winter Weather In Boston.

We’ve had a mild winter in Boston up until this week, when winter storm Juno dumped two feet of snow on the city. It’s made getting around town a bit more chaotic than usual, but it’s nice to see, and made for a peaceful few days off.

Here are a few snowy scenes I shot of Fenway Park and surrounding areas. Just for fun!

Photos: Boston Red Sox Winter Weekend.

The Boston Red Sox hosted the first ever Winter Weekend at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut. The weekend brought nearly the entire current Red Sox roster and coaching staff, as well as big name Red Sox alumni together to interact with fans and each other through panel discussions, autograph and photo sessions, games, and clinics.

Overall, this proved to be a tough shoot for us, but even through difficult lighting conditions, we were able to document the event and get a few nice frames. Here and here are some of my photos that ran in the Boston Globe this morning.

This was a collaboration of incredible efforts and hard work by the entire Red Sox front office staff, and it’s a pleasure to be part of such a hard working and talented group!

Photos: UFC Star Conor McGregor Visits Boston Community.

Last Friday, I was assigned to shoot a community appearance with UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who is in Boston leading up to his featherweight bout against Dennis Siver at the TD Garden this weekend.

McGregor, a native of Dublin, Ireland, is a huge hit here in Boston, particularly within the city’s Irish communities. So, it was perfect that he appeared at Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston to meet local boxers and kids and talk about his experiences as a UFC fighter. Here is a story published in the Boston Globe with a few photos of mine.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know much about boxing or UFC, but I really enjoyed shooting this event. It was a pleasure interacting with such nice guests, as well as people like gym owner, Peter Welch, and Dropkick Murphys lead singer, Ken Casey (both pictured above). It promises to be an exciting fight, and I’m looking forward to working there as well!

I should also add that this was my first career assignment shooting for Getty Images. I’ve been editing for Getty at New England Patriots games all season, and I know that the company is filled with talented, great people, so I was thankful for the opportunity to contribute, both at NFL this year and here at the boxing gym.

Video: Blue Hills Bank Pavilion Concert Venue Promo.

This is a promotional video I partnered in shooting, editing, and producing with Boston Red Sox Manager of Photography, Michael Ivins for the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion concert venue in Boston, Massachusetts. We shot this footage and timelapses in one night during a Summer 2014 concert at the Pavilion as a trial run for future video material.

This video is quick and basic, but gives viewers a visual sense of the concert venue as well as pieces of information relating to the VIP Visitor’s Program.

A big thank you to our friend Chris Elias over at Live Nation for his help in this video!

Photos: Pedro Martinez Selected Into Baseball Hall Of Fame.

This afternoon, Boston Red Sox legend Pedro Martinez was selected to enter the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, alongside Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, and Craig Biggio.

Pedro, one of the all time nicest guys and great subjects to photograph, was in Boston during the announcement, so the Red Sox photography staff was on hand to document the day. These are a few images from the press conference, as well as some behinds the scenes moments inside Fenway Park.

I had a lot of fun shooting today! Congrats to the new Hall of Famers.
