BOSTON RED SOX PHOTOS:MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2015 VS. toronto Blue Jays.

Here are photos from Monday night’s exciting Red Sox walk-off win agains the Toronto Blue Jays. This wasn’t the greatest walk-off for photos from my position at first base, but it’s always good to get wins like these!

Photos: Boston College Wins 2015 Baseball Beanpot.

Here are a few photos from the 2015 Baseball Beanpot tournament yesterday at Fenway Park. First, Harvard University played Northeastern University in the consolation round. Right after that, Boston College took the field for the championship game against University of Massachusetts.

This turned out to be a nice game to shoot, as BC pulled out a close 2-0 victory to win the tournament.

I always love shooting college athletics. The players are never shy with their emotions, and that translates well for pictures.

Congrats to BC Baseball!

BOSTON RED SOX PHOTOS:Monday, April 20, 2015 VS. Baltimore Orioles.

A day of torrential downpour made for a relatively subdued Marathon Monday compared to year’s past. The rain was so bad, in fact, that this game between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles was called officially after 7 innings.

Not a huge day for photos, but here are a few selects.

Here are some photos from today’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox, as well as a few from the pre-game with perennial Boston Marathon runners Rick and Dick Hoyt.

More from Marathon Monday tomorrow!

BOSTON RED SOX PHOTOS: Wednesday, April 15, 2015 Vs. Washington Nationals.

Above is a selection of images from an emotional day at Fenway Park. In honor of Jackie Robinson Day, all players and coaches on both teams (and across Major League Baseball) wore the number 42 on their jerseys.

Today also marked the two year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. In recognition, the Boston Red Sox invited survivors and heroes involved with the Marathon to come back and take part in some special pre-game ceremonies. At 2:49 PM, the time of the explosions, the ballpark, along with the entire city, paused for a moment of silence.

Days like these are a tough but necessary reminder of how precious life can be, and it’s amazing to see how those there today have managed to resume their lives with such strength and resilience.

Photos: 2015 Boston Red Sox Opening Day.

Baseball is back in Boston! Yesterday was a long, busy day for the Red Sox photography department, but also a day filled with amazing photo opportunities.

The Red Sox paid tribute to the New England Patriots, who won their fourth Super Bowl this year. Quarterback Tom Brady, Head Coach Bill Belichick, Team President Jonathan Kraft, and Team Owner Robert Kraft were introduced on field. The Red Sox also inducted ALS Survivor Pete Frates as an official member of the team, and recognized local kids as part of the new Calling All Kids initiative.

During the game, it was the Mookie Betts show, as he hits a three-run home run, robbed a home run in center field, and displayed some heads up base running. An exciting pre-game ceremony and a 9-4 Red Sox win made for a great start to the season!

I’ll be sure to post often as the season goes on – my fourth for the Red Sox, sixth for MLB, and first as a full-time Staff Photographer.

Video: Boston Breakers ECNL Soccer Commercial.

This is a 30 second promotional commercial I shot and edited for Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Soccer, featuring the Boston Breakers 17 and 18 year old soccer franchises. It was filmed at their practice at Dedham High School in Dedham, Massachusetts, leading up to a National showcase tournament in San Diego, California.

The concept was to show what goes through an athlete’s mind in those big moments in life: big practices, big games, big events. The goal is to appeal to an audience of high school aged girls.

The promo combines HD DSLR footage and aerial drone footage, and was published on the league’s social media channels.

Photos: Boston’s Marty Walsh Visits Fenway Park.

Today is Opening Day for the 2015 Major League Baseball season! It’s hard to believe the winter is over and the season is back upon us.

As has been tradition in recent years, Boston’s Mayor, Marty Walsh, came to Fenway Park this morning to recognize the start of the season and to view recent improvements and additions to the ballpark.

The walk through also coincided with the opening of ‘Gate K,’ a concourse in the ballpark designated for kids, as well as the announcement of a Historically Black Colleges and Universities game to be played here later this month.

Here are a few moments from the morning!

Photos: Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Celebrates Nasturtiums.

It’s always a pleasure to shoot for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Last night, the museum celebrated the annual springtime arrival of the Nasturtium flowers, which you’ll see above.

Here are some photos from the event! Thank you to the Gardner for having me in!
