Drone Video: New Hampshire Foliage.

This is a compilation of aerial drone footage I shot during a recent visit to Lake Ossipee in Ossipee, New Hampshire. I was just up for a weekend visit with a group of great friends, but I knew that the foliage would look great this time of year, so I brought my drone with me.

I didn’t spend a whole lot of time with this edit. Just a quick, pretty piece to look at before the winter comes!

Photos: Nascar Whelen Modified Series Championship.

I made the trip to Thompson, Connecticut this weekend to shoot the Nascar Touring Series Whelen Modified championship race at Thompson Speedway. I covered the race for Getty Images.

This was my first time shooting Nascar, or any type of motorsports event for that matter. It was an experience, and it’s the quirky little details that made it so interesting – the rickety wooden grandstands that felt like they’d fall over every time you took a step, the giant wasps that found shelter all along the desks in the press box, the pit crews smoking cigarettes in the middle of the race, etc.

It was details like that that I wish I was able to document a bit more. It being my first race, I wasn’t too sure what to expect, so I found it difficult to get into a rhythm shooting. I certainly have photos that tell the story of the day, but I think it would take me a couple more races to really be able to come away with a well-rounded take.

That being said, I enjoy new experiences like that. I felt like I came away having learned something new, so I was happy to be there shooting.

Until the next race!

Photos: Team USA Road To Rio Tour Visits Boston.

Here is a gallery of photos from the Boston stopover of the Team USA Road to Rio 2016 tour, which I covered this weekend for Getty Images.

The nine stop tour is bringing Olympic and Paralympic athletes, interactive experiences, and giveaways to cities across the country. Gymnast Nastia Liukin swimmers Dara Torres and Ryan Lochte, and ice dancing pair Charlie White and Meryl Davis were among the athletes to attend the Boston event. That’s a lot of gold medals, collectively.

The tour event was set up right along the Charles River, which made for the perfect backdrop as the annual Head of the Charles Regatta was happening simultaneously. I had a lot of fun shooting!

Wedding: Lauren & Andrew – Warwick, Rhode Island.

Here is a highlight trailer video as well as a gallery of still images from a beautiful late summer wedding in Warwick, Rhode Island.

It was great, as always, to team up with my good friend Lauren Foley of 309 Productions, who edited the video. Both of us shot high-definition video and still photos throughout the day, combining to capture some really nice moments between Andrew and Lauren, the bride and groom.

The footage was shot on six different cameras covering multiple angles, including both Canon and Nikon DSLRs and a GoPro camera attached to a drone.

Thanks so much to Andrew and Lauren for having us out to document their special day!

Wedding: The Waintrups – Boston, Massachusetts.

Here is a gallery of images from just the beginning portion of a late summer wedding in Boston. I was there just to document the groom and groomsmen getting dressed and ready at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston.

Thanks to these guys for being so great to work with!

Photos: Gloria Allred Gives Statement On Bill Cosby Deposition.

Well-known lawyer Gloria Allred spoke in Boston last weekend following a deposition with comedian Bill Cosby regarding a sexual misconduct case brought by Judy Huth. Here is the story.

Allred’s statement was very brief, and she didn’t answer any further questions, so we only had time to make a few frames.

Not thrilling pictures here, but something different than the usual sports scene I’m used to.

Wedding: Chloe & Nate – Brooklyn, New York.

Now that the baseball season is done, I’m finding the time to catch up on outside work from the summer months.

Some of that work has come in the form of shooting weddings, which has been an enjoyable new challenge for me to take on. It’s really nice to be a part of someone’s special day, and to document it knowing that the images you make will be cherished forever.

When Chloe and Nate asked me to shoot their wedding in New York City, I was thrilled. Not only are the bride and groom good friends of mine, but they’re fellow graduates of Goucher College, my alma mater. It was so great to see them again, as well as so many other friends from the Goucher years.

Here is a gallery of pictures from the day. The Wythe Hotel and Green Building in Brooklyn gave us a stunning backdrop to work with, and the day was beautiful from beginning to end.

Thanks so much to Chloe and Nate for having me out to capture their day, and thanks to wedding planner extraordinaire Roey Mizrahi for her help in making the day seamless for us! Thanks also to second shooter and good friend Lauren Foley of 309 Productions for tagging along to shoot.

Congratulations!
