Boston Red Sox Photos: Saturday, September 29, 2018 vs. New York Yankees.

Here are a few frames yesterday shot with a rental 600 mm lens we have on hand for playoff baseball. It’s fun experiment with a lens with such big reach.

Portraits: Tufts Gordon Institute Student Portraits.

Here are some outtakes from a recent shoot I worked on for the Tufts Gordon Instituteat Tufts University. The institute was looking for individual portraits of the students in this year’s MS and Innovation Management Program. This was the second year in a row we have worked on this project together.

We decided upon a simple three light high-key set up for a classic, seamless look on a white backdrop. All of the students were fantastic to work with, and weren’t afraid to let their personalities show through in front of the camera. Above are some of my favorites from the two days of shooting, converted to black and white.

Many thanks to Tufts University for having me on board!

The Boston Red Sox won their 106th win this season last night, breaking the all-time franchise record for most wins in a single season. It was neat to be on hand to witness this historic moment!

Photos: Boston Red Sox Clinch American League East Division.

For the third straight year, the Boston Red Sox are champions of the American League East division. Mookie Betts led the charge last night in a back and forth game that finally ended in an 11-6 win against the Yankees.

This was the end result of a long, hard week of work. A lot of preparation goes into every game to set ourselves up to be in a position to get the images we need. We arrive hours early to the ballpark to remote cameras, figure out access and security, and scope out spots to position ourselves. It was frustrating to go through that process twice only to lose the first two games, but that made last night all the sweeter. A big thank you to Yankees photographers Ari and Barrie for being so accommodating and helping us get the shots we need. It was also great working along our team Staff Photographer, Matt Thomas, as well as the rest of our Creative Services team who made the trip down.

I’m back home now, but on the train ride home found myself thinking about how lucky I am to be a part of a special team and organization like this. Three division championships in three years doesn’t just happen in baseball, and I don’t take for granted the fact that I get to document a team of this caliber. Let’s hope for a deep run into October!

Another tough one for us last night. We look to clinch tonight in New York!

I’m in New York with the team to shoot what we all hope will be an American League East Division clinching game against the Yankees this week. Although they came close, the Sox lost last night. Tonight, we try to clinch again!

Photos: Boston Red Sox Players Visit Microsoft Gaming Studio.

On their off day in New York City before a three-game series against the Yankees, Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez, designated hitter J.D. Martinez, catcher Christian Vazquez, and shortstop Xander Bogaerts visited the Microsoft gaming studio in Manhattan to play video games against each other.

This was a fun look at a lighter side of the guys on a rare off day! I always love to see the athletes and how they live off the field.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Manager Alex Cora Hosts Shriners Hospital Patient.

Before yesterday’s game against the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora welcomed Ben Halpern, a patient from Shriners hospital, to meet with players and spend time in the Red Sox clubhouse. Cora met Halpern earlier this season during a visit to Shriners Hospital in Boston.
