Personal Work: Boston Fitness.

Here is some new personal fitness work I shot recently in Boston. A big thanks to personal trainer Dre Mayes for working with me for this shoot! Here’s a behind the scenes video I made for YouTube as well.

Boston Red Sox Photos: FaceTime Portraits.

Here’s a sign of the times! These are portraits I recently shot from home of several of the Boston Red Sox players via FaceTime. I typically like to shoot creative portraits of our players throughout each season, so given the circumstances with COVID-19 and a lack of baseball season, I decided to try this out.

Above are the results, as well as a behind the scenes video I made on YouTube. Here are some articles in FStoppers, PetaPixel, and DP Review about the process.

I think we’ll look back on these and be reminded of what a strange time this was.

YouTube Video: I’m On Youtube!

I am on YouTube! After thinking about doing this for a long time now, I finally got my act together and have started a YouTube channel. This is a project that started out of sheer boredom and a severe lack of creativity during the beginning of quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope this channel can serve as a source of creative inspiration and education about all things photography related, as well as a behind the scenes look into the photography work that I do out in the field. Here’s my first video!

Photos: Dropkick Murphys Perform LiveStream Concert In Empty Fenway Park.

Last Friday, Dropkick Murphys returned to Fenway Park to deliver their “Streaming Outta Fenway” performance with no live audience. Streaming from the infield, the band was joined remotely by Bruce Springsteen for two songs via the video board in centerfield. The socially-distanced performance benefitted the Boston Resiliency Fund, Feeding America, and Habitat for Humanity, Greater Boston.

Here is a gallery of my photos from three nights of rehearsals and the performance. It was a long three days, but I’m happy to be shooting. I won’t forget this one!

Boston Red Sox Photos: American Flag Dropped Over Green Monster For Memorial Day.

The Red Sox today paid tribute to those who lost their lives in combat by dropping the American flag over the Green Monster wall in Left Field. The flag drop was punctuated by a bugle performance of Taps by Medford, MA, native Robert Bean, a retired member of the U.S. Marine Corps and National Guard.

It was neat to be inside the empty ballpark for this beautiful little event. I utilized remote cameras to get multiple angles of the drop since I could only be in one spot. Glad they all worked out and go the shots I needed!

Below is a behind the scenes video I made for my YouTube channel.

A Happy Memorial Day to all.
