Photos: Brazil Vs. United States International Soccer.

Here is a set of images from last night’s international soccer friendly between the United States and Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

I was lucky enough to have been asked by the great folks at Getty Images to cover the game.

It was refreshing to shoot something other than baseball, which I’ve been overloading on as of late. International soccer is always visually pleasing – the colors, fans, action on the field, and player reaction makes for exciting pictures, and last night was no exception.

After a tight first half, Brazil broke the game wide open in the second half, winning 4-1 powered by two goals from team superstar, Neymar.

Thank you to Getty Images for the opportunity to shoot! I had a great time.

I was lucky enough to have been asked to work as part of the Getty Images team to cover the New England Patriots Super Bowl Victory Parade today in Boston. It was the team’s fourth Super Bowl in fifteen years, and the fourth of Tom Brady’s career.

Events like this are a true test of your patience as a photographer, and a good exercise in following your instincts. Today, there were so many unknown factors, so I had to force myself to just take a step back and let things progress, slowly but surely.

The corral of photographers was assigned to shoot from two media trucks within the parade caravan, although as the parade got underway, I was able to work my way off the truck and walk the route. The extra mobility was huge, particularly in getting the shots of Brady with the trophy and some celebrations with other players.

Here are some of my favorites from the day. I’m completely exhausted!

I’ve been in Boston for almost four years now, and have had the opportunity to shoot two Championship parades. It’s crazy to think about! Boston is titletown, through and through.

Photos: UFC Star Conor McGregor Visits Boston Community.

Last Friday, I was assigned to shoot a community appearance with UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who is in Boston leading up to his featherweight bout against Dennis Siver at the TD Garden this weekend.

McGregor, a native of Dublin, Ireland, is a huge hit here in Boston, particularly within the city’s Irish communities. So, it was perfect that he appeared at Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston to meet local boxers and kids and talk about his experiences as a UFC fighter. Here is a story published in the Boston Globe with a few photos of mine.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know much about boxing or UFC, but I really enjoyed shooting this event. It was a pleasure interacting with such nice guests, as well as people like gym owner, Peter Welch, and Dropkick Murphys lead singer, Ken Casey (both pictured above). It promises to be an exciting fight, and I’m looking forward to working there as well!

I should also add that this was my first career assignment shooting for Getty Images. I’ve been editing for Getty at New England Patriots games all season, and I know that the company is filled with talented, great people, so I was thankful for the opportunity to contribute, both at NFL this year and here at the boxing gym.
