Boston Red Sox Photos: Thursday, April 27, 2017 vs. New York Yankees.

A pitcher’s duel last night between Masahiro Tanaka and Chris Sale. The Yankees got the best of this one, winning 3-0 to take the two game series.

A huge weekend with the Chicago Cubs in town begins now!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Saturday, April 15, 2017 vs. Tampa Bay Rays.

The Boston Red Sox recognized Jackie Robinson Day yesterday, wearing number 42 jerseys across the entire roster. The team also recognized One Boston Day, the anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Through all the ceremonies and recognitions, the Red Sox pulled off a close 2–1 victory against the Tampa Bay Rays. Here are some photos from the day.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Wednesday, April 5, 2017 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates.

Here are photos from a very cold game last night against the Pirates. Our new starter, Chris Sale, was lights out in his Red Sox and Fenway Park debut, striking out 7 hitters. But this was a pitcher’s duel all the way, and the game remained 0-0 through 12 innings. That’s when catcher Sandy Leon came through with a walk-off three run home run to end the game.

A good ending to an otherwise cold and rather uneventful game!

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2017 Opening Day.

We’re back at it again! The 2017 season is underway, as the Boston Red Sox held Opening Day at Fenway Park this afternoon. The team honored the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots with a special pre-game ceremony. There’s never a dull moment when you have personalities like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in the same place. The Patriots players had fun with the ceremony, which made for some lighter photos.

On the field, the Red Sox looked good. Rookie Andrew Benintendi hit a 3-run home run to give the team an Opening Day win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This is my sixth Opening Day shooting for the Red Sox, and eighth overall. Is that right?! It’s hard to believe. It’s always a long day, but a lot of fun.

I have lots more coming from this season!

Boston Red Sox Multimedia: 2017 Sox Spring Player Promos.

The above videos are a series of promotional pieces I produced for the Boston Red Sox during their 2017 Spring Training campaign in Fort Myers, Florida. Each one is a 15-second mini-vignette highlighting a different player on the team. They’re made up of still photographs, video, timelapses, b-roll footage, and parallaxes. The b-roll video comes from the very talented team of shooters in the Red Sox video productions department. These were published across the Boston Red Sox official social media channels.

It was good to get back into the swing of editing video after a few weeks away from it. Working with multimedia allows you to package the content you produce in different ways, which is good for the creative soul.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 23rd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic.

Members of the Boston Red Sox participated in the 23rd Annual Red Sox Celebrity Classic golf tournament this afternoon, which benefits the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Here are some images from the event.

I tried to shoot this less as “event coverage” and more as an opportunity to look for moments of the individual guys. It worked out well a few times. I was happy to get that shot of Mookie lounging in the golf cart.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Spring Training Workouts Continue.

Here are some photos from workouts today at Red Sox Spring Training.

Boston Red Sox Photos: First Full Workouts Of 2017.

We’re back at it again for another year of Spring Training in Fort Myers, Florida! Today marked the first full squad work out for the Boston Red Sox. The group looks great, and I’m really excited to be back in baseball mode! Here are some snaps from my first day here.

Photos: 2017 Boston Red Sox Winter Weekend.

The Boston Red Sox once again hosted a weekend getaway of hot stove fun for fans and families last weekend. The third annual “Baseball Winter Weekend” at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, included a Town Hall Meeting with Red Sox leaders, autographs and photos with Red Sox players, and panel discussions on a variety of baseball topics. It also included a full baseball festival for fans of all ages and clinics for kids.

The entire Red Sox roster, including coaches, was invited to attend Winter Weekend. Red Sox alumni were also in attendance along with Wally the Green Monster and his sister Tessie.

This is a tough event to make look pretty visually. Yellow casino lighting and crazy rug patterns don’t make for the best photos, but I still had a great time shooting. The event had great energy, both from the fans and the players. It made me excited for this year, which I think will be a great one for us! Spring Training is right around the corner.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Tuesday, June 21, 2016 vs. Chicago White Sox.

Tough one last night for the Red Sox against the White Sox. More baseball today.
