Boston Red Sox Photos: Opening Day In Wake Of Coronavirus Delay.

After an extended delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Boston Red Sox began their 2020 Major League Baseball campaign against the Baltimore Orioles on Opening Night at Fenway Park.

This was an absolutely wild day to be a part of from beginning to end. I was at the park at 5:15AM for the sunrise, and left at 12:45PM (with a brief nap in the morning).

A beautiful pre-game ceremony incorporated elements of the Black Lives Matter movement, and remember lives lost due to COVID-19.

I can’t remember an Opening Day so busy, which is unexpected given we are playing in front of an empty ballpark. Overall, I am tired, but very happy to be here, and feel lucky to have witnessed history yesterday.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Players Arrive For Summer Camp.

Last week, Boston Red Sox players reported to Fenway Park for Summer Camp. The training period marks the beginning of the 2020 Major League Baseball season after it was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Below is a gallery of images from the arrival activity.

Another day, another game! Not a whole lot to show for myself in this one.

We’re back into game mode for the first time this spring. Here are some photos from today’s game against the Baltimore Orioles as well as some portraits and scenes from batting practice in the cage beforehand.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2020 Photo Day.

Team photo day is done and done again this year! Earlier today, our full roster of players and coaches came through our set to pose for portraits ahead of the 2020 season. This day serves as our opportunity to gather the visual assets we need to carry us through across multiple platforms throughout the season.

Black, white, and red all over was our move this year! Our incredible team designers Marissa McClain and Nick Sciarratta designed this abstract Fenway Park blueprint set with a dramatic color scheme for the players to pose in. As a last minute addition, we threw in some black plexiglass on the ground to add some dimension to the room we created out of the two backdrops. This look had it’s challenges, but I’m proud of our team for putting in the work and trial runs necessary to execute it well. Props to Maddie Malhotra, our staff photographer, for shooting a perfect white seamless set and putting together this fresh looking blog post of our day.

A huge thanks to the players and coaches for their time, and to everyone in our Creative Services and Media Relations teams for making it happen!

Boston Red Sox Spring Training Workout

Boston Red Sox Photos: Workouts Continue At Fenway South.

Here’s a bunch of photos from my first real day of shooting at Red Sox Spring Training in 2020. Had a good day!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Offseason All-Access In Miami.

Over the winter, our Red Sox content crew took a trip down to the Miami area to catch up with a few of our guys during their offseason. J.D. Martinez, Christian Vazquez, and Eduardo Rodriguez were gracious in letting us catch a glimpse of their lives at the gym, in the batting cage, and at their homes. Here is a gallery of some lifestyle work with each of them, as well as some burst sequence videos from the workouts I put together.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Sunday, September 29, 2019 Vs. Baltimore Orioles.

Another season in the books, folks, and what a way to end it! The Sox won in dramatic walk-off fashion as Mookie Betts roared toward home plate to score the game winning run on a ninth inning hit by Rafael Devers. It’s nice that we were able to end on a high.

It wasn’t the season we had all hoped for on the field after last year’s success, but still a great year to be a part of for many reasons. I feel lucky to witness neat things and be a part of some unforgettable experiences every year, even on the down years. We have a great group of players to work with, and an incredibly talented staff of creatives that bring this team and ballpark to life every day.

That’s the end of my eighth season with the Boston Red Sox, and my tenth in Major League Baseball. I’ll have a more thorough recap of the season in my yearly review towards the end of December. For now, I’m excited for a bit of REST.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Thursday, August 22, 2019 Vs. Kansas City Royals.

Wow, what a day! On Thursday, Fenway Park hosted the continuation of a game between that Boston Red Sox and the Kansas City Royals that was suspended on August 7 tied 4-4 in the 10th inning due to weather. Two weeks later, the two teams picked up where they left off. After a clean top half of the inning, Brock Holt ended the game in just 12 minutes with a walk-off RBI single and a great celebration to follow. This was one of the most fun games I can remember shooting. I’ll take 12 minutes every day please!

What a wild game! The Sox came from a 6-0 deficit to beat the Baltimore Orioles 13-7 and sweep the weekend series. Rafael Devers became the first player in the Major Leagues to reach 100 RBI’s this season. A little late season fun here.
