Photos: James Taylor Plays Fenway Park Concert.

Here are a few images from singer James Taylor’s performance at Fenway Park last week! This is the first in a mini-series of posts from concerts here at the Park this month.

Video: Blue Hills Bank Pavilion Concert Venue Promo.

This is a promotional video I partnered in shooting, editing, and producing with Boston Red Sox Manager of Photography, Michael Ivins for the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion concert venue in Boston, Massachusetts. We shot this footage and timelapses in one night during a Summer 2014 concert at the Pavilion as a trial run for future video material.

This video is quick and basic, but gives viewers a visual sense of the concert venue as well as pieces of information relating to the VIP Visitor’s Program.

A big thank you to our friend Chris Elias over at Live Nation for his help in this video!

Ma, Weiss perform recital on violin and piano.

"Violinist Yeou-Cheng Ma and Pianist Lisa Weiss perform a violin/piano recital in the Merrick Lecture Hall at Goucher College Wednesday, February 15, 2012."

The start of 2012 has been very busy for me, so it’s been awhile since I’ve been on the blog. I haven’t been shooting as much as I’d like of late, as I’ve been preoccupied settling all the details for my upcoming move to Boston (more to come soon).

That’s why it felt great to shoot this concert with Violinist Yeou-Cheng Ma and Pianist Lisa Weiss (read: mom) two nights ago. This isn’t a prize winner here, but I felt the need to post and get the blog back up and running.

Fenway Park.

"A grounds crew worker cuts the outfield grass in Boston's historic Fenway Park Sunday, August 15, 2010 after a performance by Aerosmith and the J. Geils Band the night before."

"A member of the grounds crew walks through rows of empty seats at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts Sunday, August 15, 2010."

I took a tour of Fenway Park during my visit to Boston this weekend.

The only thing I could think about during the entire tour was how much I wished I worked as a photographer there. Covering the last place Baltimore Orioles day in and day out last year was incredibly exciting. I can’t imagine working in a ballpark that’s nearly 100 years old in a city that goes crazy over their baseball team.

So, instead of listening to most of what our tour guide told us, I took photographs and promised myself that I’ll get there one way or another.

Aerosmith had just played to a sold out Fenway audience the night before, so the grounds crew was working to get the field back into baseball shape. The bustle on the field caught my eye more than The Green Monster, Pesky’s Pole, and the other historic, recognizable parts of the stadium.

I noticed that these two shots are strikingly similar and work well as a pair.
