The Red Sox continued their winning ways last night, beating the New York Yankees in the first of a pivotal three game series. Christian Vazquez collected three hits and scored three runs, and Mitch Moreland delivered with a huge go-ahead RBI single in the seventh inning to give the Red Sox a lead they would never look back from.

The Red Sox pulled through on yet another walk-off win last night, increasing their total of walk-offs on the season to eight. This time, it was Mitch Moreland who delivered in the clutch, hitting a solo home run into the Green Monster seats in the eleventh inning to win the game. Here are photos from the evening.

I think yesterday was officially the longest baseball game I’ve ever shot! A 16 inning, 5 hour and 55 marathon that ended in a Yankees win.

Glad that’s over!

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2017 MLB All-Star Game.

Chris Sale pitched two scoreless innings as the starter for the American League in this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Starting in centerfield, Mookie Betts turned a catch and throw double play, and closer Craig Kimbrel recorded the win after shutting down the National League in the ninth inning.

Here is a gallery of images from the game. It was fun to shoot my second consecutive All-Star Game week! It’s always great to catch up with all of the photographers from across the country that come together to shoot the game. I’m also glad to have seen a new city, and spend some time away from the ballpark with some of my favorite people.

The second half of the season begins now!

Chris Sale, Craig Kimbrel, and Mookie Betts have arrived in Miami, Florida to represent the Boston Red Sox in this year’s MLB All-Star Game. Today, Chris Sale was named the starting pitcher for the second year in a row, and all three players worked out with the American League team. Here are some photographs from the day.

Here are some photos from a Red Sox win last night at Fenway. Not a great shooting night for me! I just felt off. Sometimes that happens though, so I’m looking forward to getting back after it this weekend.

The Red Sox won again last night in the third of a four game series against the Baltimore Orioles. Here are some images from the night.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2017 Opening Day.

We’re back at it again! The 2017 season is underway, as the Boston Red Sox held Opening Day at Fenway Park this afternoon. The team honored the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots with a special pre-game ceremony. There’s never a dull moment when you have personalities like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in the same place. The Patriots players had fun with the ceremony, which made for some lighter photos.

On the field, the Red Sox looked good. Rookie Andrew Benintendi hit a 3-run home run to give the team an Opening Day win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This is my sixth Opening Day shooting for the Red Sox, and eighth overall. Is that right?! It’s hard to believe. It’s always a long day, but a lot of fun.

I have lots more coming from this season!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Wednesday, September 28, 2016 vs. New York Yankees.

Well, that was one of the craziest, weirdest games I’ve ever covered, but after a strange and complicated series of events, the Boston Red Sox are the champions of the American League East Division in 2016!

After a tight seven innings of shut out baseball, the Red Sox finally broke through over the Yankees on a two RBI double from Mookie Betts to give Boston the lead. Then in the ninth, just as the Red Sox were ready to celebrate on the field, the Yankees mounted a crazy come back, capped by a walk-off grand slam by Mark Teixiera to win the game. While the Yankees celebrated on the field, the Red Sox walked off knowing that they had already clinched the division with the Toronto loss to Baltimore that happened just minutes before.

A very strange way to win the division, for sure, but what this team has accomplished this year has been incredible, and the guys still celebrated with champagne in the clubhouse.

Here are photos from all of it! This is one I won’t forget, for sure.
