Boston Red Sox Photos: Tuesday, May 8, 2018 vs. New York Yankees.

Here are a few photos from the first game of this week’s Yankees-Red Sox series at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Boston Red Sox Photos: An Off-Day In New York City.

I’m in New York City with the Red Sox to shoot this week’s three-game series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The team arrived a day early to the city, so I decided to take advantage and shoot how players and coaches spent their off day in the Big Apple. The concept was to run around the city to catch up with as many of the guys as possible, and shoot what I could. The end result is a photo essay with seven players and coaches doing seven different things in New York. Here’s a recap of how it all went down. A big thanks to the players and their families for being so accommodating and letting me tag along!

Pitcher Matt Barnes went to the Apple Store to check out some iPhones.

Manager Alex Cora spent the afternoon with his daughter, Camila.

Center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. visited the Central Park Zoo with his wife, Erin, and daughter, Emerson.

Pitcher Drew Pomeranz and his wife, Carolyn, recharged at their New York City home.

Catcher Christian Vazquez hopped in a yellow cab.

Second baseman Eduardo Nunez took a stroll through Times Square, and caught up with some NYPD members.

Right fielder Mookie Betts ate dinner at The Boil restaurant with family and friends.

Mookie Betts hit three run home runs to lift the Red Sox to a game and series win against the Kansas City Royals to end the homestand. Here is a gallery of images from a good one at Fenway Park.

Portraits: Boston Red Sox Track Suits.

In recognition of the Boston Marathon, Red Sox players wore track suits as they flew from Boston to Los Angeles for their roadtrip. Here are a few simple, one light portraits I shot as the team boarded the bus to the airport.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2018 Photo Day.

Early this morning, the full Boston Red Sox roster of players and coaches posed for portraits during photo day, the annual event that allows photographers to gather content for use throughout the 2018 season.

For us in the Red Sox marketing department, photo day is always a tough but stimulating challenge. How do you create a portrait look and feel that is stylized and creative, yet also simple enough to function in an assembly line style shoot of over 60 subjects in a short time period? This year’s result was a five light high-key set up on white seamless. A bit of rim light on each player gave the portraits the finishing touch they needed to separate the subject from the background.

Above is a gallery of some favorites! A big thanks to everyone in the Red Sox Creative Services and Media Relations teams for making it happen. This day is a true team effort!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Pitchers & Catchers Report.

Today, the Boston Red Sox pitchers and catchers officially reported to Spring Training. Here is a gallery of images from the day.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2018 Winter Weekend.

The Boston Red Sox once again hosted a weekend getaway of hot stove fun for fans and families last weekend at the fourth annual “Baseball Winter Weekend” at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The event included a Town Hall Meeting with Red Sox leaders, autographs and photos with Red Sox players, and round-table discussions on a variety of baseball topics. The weekend also included a full baseball festival for fans of all ages and clinics for kids.

Here is a gallery of photos from the weekend.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2017 American League Division Series Team Workouts In Houston.

The Red Sox held team workouts yesterday at Minute Maid Park ahead of today’s game one of the American League Division Series against the Houston Astros.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Saturday, September 30, 2017 vs. Houston Astros.

The Boston Red Sox are the 2017 American League East Division Champions! Behind a good start by pitcher Drew Pomeranz, the team put up 6 runs to earn the final victory needed to clinch the division for the season.

It was a lot of fun shooting the on-field celebration and post-game traditional champagne showers in the clubhouse. Now, we’re on to Houston for the American League Division Series.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Monday, September 25, 2017 vs. Toronto Blue Jays.

Back at it at Fenway for the final homestand of the 2017 season. Going into last night, the magic number for the Boston Red Sox to clinch the division was 3. Unfortunately, the Yankees won and the Sox lost, so the magic number now remains at 3 going into today.

Regardless, the team is in great shape, and we should have an exciting week of baseball ahead.
