Here are some photos from last night’s game. A tough one for the Red Sox, but still some neat behind the scenes moments before the game, as well as a visit by Olympic gold medal Judo fighter, Kayla Harrison.
Baseball rolls on today.
I’m late on these, but I wanted to get them up because I thought they were pretty interesting. This year’s class of Red Sox Scholars was given a tour of a few departments at Beth Israel Deaconess hospital, including the NICU and the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery.
It was neat to see some of the things they showed us, including a breathing, blinking, talking manikin used by medical students to learn surgical techniques.
The scholars then had a holiday party with games, like the cookie drop above, which made for some hilarious photos. It was also great to have Olympic gold medal judo fighter, Kayla Harrison, at the party.
This past Saturday, several members of the 2012 United States Olympic team – those originally from New England – were honored in a Ceremonial First Pitch presentation at Fenway Park.
Among the athletes on hand were two-time Gold Medal gymnast, Aly Raisman, Gold Medal judoka, Kayla Harrison, and Tina Charles and Asjha Jones of the Gold Medal winning women’s basketball team.
This was really neat to see after watching so much of the games this year on TV! Here’s hoping to cover the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro!
