Boston Red Sox Photos: 2018 World Series Game Three Vs. Los Angeles Dodgers.

I’m finally finding time to catch up on this blog. I’m way behind!

Here’s a gallery from game three of the World Series at Dodger Stadium. 18 innings and seven and a half hours later, this is easily the longest game I’ve ever shot. That was ridiculous. Tough we came out on the losing end, but it didn’t seem to matter too much looking back.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Team Travels To Los Angeles Ahead Of World Series Game Three.

Here are some candid photos from the Red Sox travel day to Los Angeles before game three of the 2018 World Series. Upon landing at LAX, pitcher Rick Porcello and manager Alex Cora went straight to Dodger Stadium to met with the media.

Wow is all I can say! What an incredible game. I’m not sure if it’s the baseball itself or just the grind of the post season, but each game seems to get more exhausting. I’m glad we came out on the right end of this one. There were some great moments which translated to great photos, all the way down to the final out.

Game five tonight, on fumes!

Boston Red Sox Photos: An Off-Day In New York City.

I’m in New York City with the Red Sox to shoot this week’s three-game series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The team arrived a day early to the city, so I decided to take advantage and shoot how players and coaches spent their off day in the Big Apple. The concept was to run around the city to catch up with as many of the guys as possible, and shoot what I could. The end result is a photo essay with seven players and coaches doing seven different things in New York. Here’s a recap of how it all went down. A big thanks to the players and their families for being so accommodating and letting me tag along!

Pitcher Matt Barnes went to the Apple Store to check out some iPhones.

Manager Alex Cora spent the afternoon with his daughter, Camila.

Center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. visited the Central Park Zoo with his wife, Erin, and daughter, Emerson.

Pitcher Drew Pomeranz and his wife, Carolyn, recharged at their New York City home.

Catcher Christian Vazquez hopped in a yellow cab.

Second baseman Eduardo Nunez took a stroll through Times Square, and caught up with some NYPD members.

Right fielder Mookie Betts ate dinner at The Boil restaurant with family and friends.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2018 Photo Day.

Early this morning, the full Boston Red Sox roster of players and coaches posed for portraits during photo day, the annual event that allows photographers to gather content for use throughout the 2018 season.

For us in the Red Sox marketing department, photo day is always a tough but stimulating challenge. How do you create a portrait look and feel that is stylized and creative, yet also simple enough to function in an assembly line style shoot of over 60 subjects in a short time period? This year’s result was a five light high-key set up on white seamless. A bit of rim light on each player gave the portraits the finishing touch they needed to separate the subject from the background.

Above is a gallery of some favorites! A big thanks to everyone in the Red Sox Creative Services and Media Relations teams for making it happen. This day is a true team effort!

Photos: Boston Red Sox Participate In Holiday Caravan.

The Boston Red Sox brought the warmth and cheer of the holiday season to patients at Boston-area hospitals and children at a baseball training academy with the 2017 Holiday Caravan this week. Over a two-day period, Red Sox players Matt Barnes, Heath Hembree, Brian Johnson, Austin Maddox, Deven Marrero, and Robby Scott visited with patients at hospitals throughout Boston. Red Sox Manager Alex Cora also joined players at hospitals and a visit with kids at The BASE, a training academy that provides young baseball players with coaching and academic and life skills training.

The Caravan tour included stops at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund Clinic, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Shriners Hospital for Children, MassGeneral Hospital for Children, and The BASE.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Wednesday, September 13, 2017 vs. Oakland Athletics.

Here is a gallery of photos from a game yesterday against the Oakland Athletics. An unexpected rain delay and a blowout game made for a lackluster photo night, but at least I got Abad posing on his scooter.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Sunday, August 28, 2016 vs. Kansas City Royals.

Here are some photos from last night’s game. A tough one for the Red Sox, but still some neat behind the scenes moments before the game, as well as a visit by Olympic gold medal Judo fighter, Kayla Harrison.

Baseball rolls on today.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Saturday, July 9, 2016 vs. Tampa Bay Rays.

The Red Sox came up with a big win yesterday in game two of the series against the Tampa bay Rays, to win the series. The woman in the first image is Babe Ruth’s daughter, Julia Ruth Stevens. She threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Pretty cool! The team looks for a sweep today as they head into the All-Star Break!

I just thought I’d make a quick post with this photo from our visit to Children’s Hospital Boston yesterday with some Red Sox up and comers who are in town this week for the Rookie Development program.

It’s refreshing to see such youthful energy, and the guys were great to follow around as they met with patients. I liked this moment.
