Another parade in Boston! It’s really a special time in Boston/New England sports right now. I was asked to shoot the New England Patriots Super Bowl parade for Getty Images today. Here are a few images that I liked. I was also happy to have had success with a few remote cameras that I was able to position on a roof and trigger while I was on the ground shooting.

I was lucky enough to have been asked to work as part of the Getty Images team to cover the New England Patriots Super Bowl Victory Parade today in Boston. It was the team’s fourth Super Bowl in fifteen years, and the fourth of Tom Brady’s career.

Events like this are a true test of your patience as a photographer, and a good exercise in following your instincts. Today, there were so many unknown factors, so I had to force myself to just take a step back and let things progress, slowly but surely.

The corral of photographers was assigned to shoot from two media trucks within the parade caravan, although as the parade got underway, I was able to work my way off the truck and walk the route. The extra mobility was huge, particularly in getting the shots of Brady with the trophy and some celebrations with other players.

Here are some of my favorites from the day. I’m completely exhausted!

I’ve been in Boston for almost four years now, and have had the opportunity to shoot two Championship parades. It’s crazy to think about! Boston is titletown, through and through.
