Baby Diego is on the way and we can’t wait to meet him! Here is a brand new set of maternity photos I shot for Boston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez and his wife Gaby at the beautiful Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. A big thanks to Christian and Gaby – you guys look great!
Here’s a sampling of new portrait work shot recently for Elevate Communications, the great PR/content powerhouse in downtown Boston. These will be used as the firm transitions through a rebrand on their new website. I shot these in various locations around their office with a simple one (sometimes two) light set up. They are meant to each have variety as stand alone images yet still hold together as a cohesive set thematically and stylistically.
A big thank you to the team at Elevate for having me in for these!
I love shooting weddings, but I was extra excited to shoot my first international wedding! Here is a gallery from the beautiful wedding weekend of Kate and Mitch at Chateau Philipe de Fay in the Normandy region of France.
The stunning backdrop of the chateau combined with a stylish bride and groom and wedding party made for a royal look and feel for the photos throughout the weekend. This gallery above shows the highlights from the rehearsal dinner, an evening pig roast for guests, and the wedding day. It’s a combination of images shot by myself and the incredibly talented photographer, Marissa McClain.
A huge thank you to Kate and Mitch for sending us over to document this special weekend! A big thanks as well to wedding planner Luic and our ace assistant, Alaina Stipcak, for making everything run smoothly.
Here are some portraits I shot this weekend of my favorite model, Alaina. I’ve been trying to experiment with different types of portrait work lately, as I’m always looking to become more versatile and well-versed as a photographer.
I wanted to go for this colorful look on seamless paper. They have a stock photography feel, but I think this relatively simple lighting set up is valuable and can be applied to many different types of work, either with models, props, or both.
I feel good about the results!
Here are some images from Tom Brady’s return to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro today for this first time since serving his suspension from the National Football League. I covered the Patriots’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals for Getty Images.
Nothing too crazy in the way of action or reaction from my side of the field, the visitor’s side. The Patriots shut this one down pretty quickly in the second half, and many of the New England jubilation moments happened on the far side.
It felt great to be shooting football! I’m hoping to shoot more games this season.
Here are a few quick portraits I shot of former Major League Soccer player and current ESPN Soccer analyst, Taylor Twellman. These were shot on the set of a commercial shoot he was filming for concussion awareness among youth and sports. The need here was for a few quick stills to run with the video piece.
Nothing too crazy here in terms of lighting or set up. These are just a few looks at the same shot with some different lenses and poses. Thanks to Taylor for being so great to work with!
There’s been lots of excitement recently at the beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, and I’ve been lucky to document some of it.
With longtime Museum Director Anne Hawley stepping down have come some great events and farewells. Here are some photos from a few nights I’ve had at the Museum of late.
Thanks as always to the Gardner for having me! It’s a pleasure.
Here is a selection of photos from the 2015 Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum gala in Boston.
This was a fun one to shoot. As you can see, the already beautiful museum looked better than ever with the extravagant decor put together for the gala.
Thank you to the Museum for having me back to shoot! It’s always a pleasure.
Super Saturday yesterday! What a day running from court to court shooting all the big names. I tried to take advantage of the nice light and great emotions on court.
Another busy day ahead.
