Boston Red Sox Photos: Tuesday, May 29, 2018 vs. Toronto Blue Jays.

With all nine batters in the line up producing at least one hit and Rick Porcello turning in another strong performance on the mound, the Red Sox cruised to an 8–3 victory over the Blue Jays. Sandy Leon hit a double and a two-run home run, contributing to the Red Sox 13 total hits.

Here’s a gallery from yesterday’s game between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. Before the game, Red Sox outfielder Tate Matheny shared the lineup card delivery with his father, Mike Matheny, who manages the St. Louis Cardinals.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2018 Photo Day.

Early this morning, the full Boston Red Sox roster of players and coaches posed for portraits during photo day, the annual event that allows photographers to gather content for use throughout the 2018 season.

For us in the Red Sox marketing department, photo day is always a tough but stimulating challenge. How do you create a portrait look and feel that is stylized and creative, yet also simple enough to function in an assembly line style shoot of over 60 subjects in a short time period? This year’s result was a five light high-key set up on white seamless. A bit of rim light on each player gave the portraits the finishing touch they needed to separate the subject from the background.

Above is a gallery of some favorites! A big thanks to everyone in the Red Sox Creative Services and Media Relations teams for making it happen. This day is a true team effort!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Sunday, August 20, 2017 vs. New York Yankees.

Rick Porcello recorded the win yesterday, as the Red Sox put up five runs to beat the New York Yankees in the rubber match of a crucial three game series. The Red Sox now head on the road up five games in the American League East division.

The Red Sox put up 10 runs last night to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals in the first of a two game series. Team defense was solid backing up Rick Porcello on the mound, and was highlighted by a rare 5–4–3 triple play.

It’s been a grind this week, but last night, the long hours paid off. After a back and forth game, Dustin Pedroia won it in the eleventh inning for the Red Sox with a walk-off RBI single. My hunch told me to stay focused on Pedroia as he rounded first base, despite a game deciding play happening at home plate. It paid off, as Pedroia gave a great reaction. Unfortunately, he ran the other way from my position at first base, so I don’t have anything great aside from the initial reaction, but it was still good to get an iconic moment of a fan favorite here in Boston.

One more game tonight!

Back at it for another home stand. Here are photos from an 11-6 win for the Red Sox over the Rangers.

The Boston Red Sox recognized Jackie Robinson Day yesterday, wearing number 42 jerseys across the entire roster. The team also recognized One Boston Day, the anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Through all the ceremonies and recognitions, the Red Sox pulled off a close 2–1 victory against the Tampa Bay Rays. Here are some photos from the day.

Boston Red Sox Photos: Wednesday, April 5, 2017 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates.

Here are photos from a very cold game last night against the Pirates. Our new starter, Chris Sale, was lights out in his Red Sox and Fenway Park debut, striking out 7 hitters. But this was a pitcher’s duel all the way, and the game remained 0-0 through 12 innings. That’s when catcher Sandy Leon came through with a walk-off three run home run to end the game.

A good ending to an otherwise cold and rather uneventful game!

Photos: 2016 ALDS Game One – Boston Red Sox vs. Cleveland Indians.

The Cleveland Indians took a close one last night, in game one of the ALDS at Progressive Field. This game could have gone either way, so the Sox look to rebound tonight in game two.

For whatever reason, I felt a little out of sorts or out of rhythm going into last night’s game. I think it was being at a new stadium for the first time and figuring out positioning and logistics. I’m looking forward to this afternoon’s game. I’ve got a better feeling about it!
