Photos: New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons – Sunday, October 22, 2017.

Here is a quick gallery of features from last weekend’s Sunday Night Football Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. I was on hand editing for the Getty Images Sport team, but had a few free moments to take some features of the heavy fog that fell over the stadium. It made conditions slightly more difficult on our shooters, but also provided a neat opportunity for some art that we usually don’t see in Foxboro.

Looking forward to another game this weekend.

Photos: New England Patriots vs. Houston Texans – Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Here are a few stills from last weekend’s game between the Patriots and the Texans. I was on hand to edit for the Getty Sport team, but filled in to shoot as well during a few key moments. Of course, all eyes were on both teams during the National Anthem, so I was out there to shoot the Patriots sideline as they kneeled. Looking forward to more football this year!

Photos: New England Patriots 2017 Opener Vs. Kansas City Chiefs.

Last week, I was lucky to have the opportunity to photograph the New England Patriots 2017 opener against the Kansas City Chiefs for The Players’ Tribune. The game had been hyped up for weeks ahead of time, as the Patriots were set to unveil their fifth Super Bowl Championship banner. In addition, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was set to make an appearance at the game in the wake of ‘Deflategate,’ so the night was rich with storylines to cover. Ultimately, the Chiefs got the last laugh, as they defeated the Patriots 42-27.

I had a great time shooting on my first assignment for The Players’ Tribune. I didn’t have any specific requirements, so I had the freedom to take risks and shoot with a blank slate. Here’s a gallery of some favorites in black and white.

A big thanks to the team at TPT for having me on board! And a shoutout to my friend Dave in town from Baltimore, who I had to bail on last minute to shoot the game. 10 years later you finally made it on the blog.

Boston Red Sox Photos: 2017 Opening Day.

We’re back at it again! The 2017 season is underway, as the Boston Red Sox held Opening Day at Fenway Park this afternoon. The team honored the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots with a special pre-game ceremony. There’s never a dull moment when you have personalities like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in the same place. The Patriots players had fun with the ceremony, which made for some lighter photos.

On the field, the Red Sox looked good. Rookie Andrew Benintendi hit a 3-run home run to give the team an Opening Day win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This is my sixth Opening Day shooting for the Red Sox, and eighth overall. Is that right?! It’s hard to believe. It’s always a long day, but a lot of fun.

I have lots more coming from this season!

Photos: New England Patriots Super Bowl Championship Parade.

Boston is titletown, and with the New England Patriots unforgettable come from behind Super Bowl victory on Sunday, it was time to cue the Duck Boats for the city’s 10th championship parade in the last sixteen years. I was assigned to cover the parade for the team at Getty Images.

This was the third championship parade that I’ve shot in Boston, so for the most part I knew what to expect and how to prepare. The key is getting the right access, which can be difficult sometimes with these large scale events. Luckily, things worked out well and I was able to get some fun images.

Conditions were less than ideal. Cold, grey, and snowing/raining the whole time, and walking the entire parade route in those conditions with three cameras and a backpack over your shoulders was hard work. My whole body is a little sore tonight. But the adrenaline takes over and gets you through it, and I really enjoyed being out there.

Thanks to Getty Images for having me on board!

Photos: New England Patriots Defeat Pittsburgh Steelers To Win AFC Championship.

Here are a few of my images from the end of this year’s AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I was at the game as an editor for Pittsburgh Steelers Team Photographer and all around good guy, Karl Roser.

I know what it’s like to work directly for a team, and I know that as a photographer or social media editor, your job can be really tough when things don’t go your team’s way on the field. Unfortunately, that was the case in this game, as Tom Brady and the Patriots rolled past Pittsburgh on their way to the Super Bowl.

At the end of the game, there weren’t any pictures (from a Steelers PR standpoint) to post, so I was free to shoot some features of the Pats celebrations and trophy ceremony. There were a few nice moments with some of the guys. Thanks again to Karl and the Steelers for having me on board!

Photos: New England Patriots vs. New York Jets.

Here is a set of images from a Christmas Eve game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium.

This game was a complete blowout in favor of the Patriots, so aside from the first half, it was pretty much operating on cruise control from a photo standpoint. Still, there were some nice moments, particularly with the heavy rain falling in the first quarter, and I had a great time shooting. These are a few of my pics from the day.

Thanks to Getty Images for having me on board for the day!

Photos: New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks.

I was on hand yesterday at Gillette Stadium for the game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. I was there to edit for Getty Images team, so I didn’t have much time to shoot. This is by no means a complete take of the game, but just a few selects I was able to grab in the free time I had at the beginning and end of the game.

Hoping to shoot more football this season.

Photos: New England Patriots vs. Cincinnati Bengals.

Here are some images from Tom Brady’s return to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro today for this first time since serving his suspension from the National Football League. I covered the Patriots’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals for Getty Images.

Nothing too crazy in the way of action or reaction from my side of the field, the visitor’s side. The Patriots shut this one down pretty quickly in the second half, and many of the New England jubilation moments happened on the far side.

It felt great to be shooting football! I’m hoping to shoot more games this season.

Photos: 2015 Boston Red Sox Opening Day.

Baseball is back in Boston! Yesterday was a long, busy day for the Red Sox photography department, but also a day filled with amazing photo opportunities.

The Red Sox paid tribute to the New England Patriots, who won their fourth Super Bowl this year. Quarterback Tom Brady, Head Coach Bill Belichick, Team President Jonathan Kraft, and Team Owner Robert Kraft were introduced on field. The Red Sox also inducted ALS Survivor Pete Frates as an official member of the team, and recognized local kids as part of the new Calling All Kids initiative.

During the game, it was the Mookie Betts show, as he hits a three-run home run, robbed a home run in center field, and displayed some heads up base running. An exciting pre-game ceremony and a 9-4 Red Sox win made for a great start to the season!

I’ll be sure to post often as the season goes on – my fourth for the Red Sox, sixth for MLB, and first as a full-time Staff Photographer.
