Wedding: Ana & Nixon – Brighton, Massachusetts.

Here are photos and video from Ana and Nixon’s wedding earlier this summer! What a beautiful day. I met Ana on a corporate shoot I worked on several years back, so I was  thrilled when she called back to have me shoot her big day! I shot the video above, and Marissa McClain shot the photos.

Wedding: Chelsea & Matt – Bonita Springs, Florida.

From the World Series to their wedding day, it’s good to be a Barnes!

I’m excited to share this gallery of photos from Chelsea and Matt’s beautiful day at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Hotel in Bonita Springs, Florida. I’ve worked with Chelsea and Matt for a few years now, through their engagement and best moments at Fenway Park, so I was thrilled and honored to shoot their wedding. Drop these two fun-loving people together into a perfect, sunny Florida backdrop and it’s impossible not to get great pictures. This gallery above shows the highlights from the day, shot by myself and Eric Lee of Eric Lee Photography. Also be sure to check out this great video trailer from by Drew Carlisle of Tried & True.

A huge thanks to Chelsea and Matt for having us there!

Wedding: Chloe & Nate – Brooklyn, New York.

Now that the baseball season is done, I’m finding the time to catch up on outside work from the summer months.

Some of that work has come in the form of shooting weddings, which has been an enjoyable new challenge for me to take on. It’s really nice to be a part of someone’s special day, and to document it knowing that the images you make will be cherished forever.

When Chloe and Nate asked me to shoot their wedding in New York City, I was thrilled. Not only are the bride and groom good friends of mine, but they’re fellow graduates of Goucher College, my alma mater. It was so great to see them again, as well as so many other friends from the Goucher years.

Here is a gallery of pictures from the day. The Wythe Hotel and Green Building in Brooklyn gave us a stunning backdrop to work with, and the day was beautiful from beginning to end.

Thanks so much to Chloe and Nate for having me out to capture their day, and thanks to wedding planner extraordinaire Roey Mizrahi for her help in making the day seamless for us! Thanks also to second shooter and good friend Lauren Foley of 309 Productions for tagging along to shoot.

Congratulations!

Wedding.

"Greg and Meredith Goldman walk down the aisle after their wedding ceremony at The Breakers Hotel Saturday, November 5, 2011 in West Palm Beach, Florida."

Despite the temptation to take a true break for a few days, I decided to try to be a bit productive over the past weekend, which my family and I spent in West Palm Beach, Florida. I did so by shooting some wedding pictures, adding to a part of my portfolio which is significantly smaller than most others.

For the amount I shot (which wasn’t many), I was mildly happy with what I came away with. Weddings are fun to be at, especially when they are like Greg and Meredith’s here, but I don’t find them so fun to shoot. I know, though, that that’s simply because I haven’t shot enough of them. Like anything else I shoot, I’m sure I’d look at this type of photography differently if I shot more of it.
